We at First Class Reunions, Inc. understand that your reunion is very personal to you as a former classmate. It is your desire to see that the event is a success and most of all that it is a memorable experience, which is precisely why we encourage committee involvement. We will do all the leg work, attend to details, and handle all the finances for arranging your function, but you, the committee, make the decisions; you take the credit. There are many ideas you can initiate to enhance the event and guarantee a successful reunion. We ask that the committee be involved with providing an M.C. and developing a short program, arranging for memorabilia, or planning for a family day. With the committee in charge of decision making, First Class Reunions, Inc. becomes a work force, keeping you informed. The result is an enjoyable evening and memorable event. Facility Arrangements First Class Reunions, Inc. will be arranging for your reunion to be held at one of the more upscale hotels in Phoenix. There are certain hotels we like to work with because of their rates, food, facilities, availability of rooms and overall quality and experience in providing for the event. However, we feel it is part of our service to obtain bids for your committee at any facility you may wish to use. We will sign the contract with the hotel and pay the deposits, thereby, taking the financial responsibility away from the committee. As you can imagine, there are numerous details which have to be constantly monitored after the initial arrangements have been made. We establish a menu which will be pleasing to everyone and still cost effective for you as the committee. We keep the hotel informed, as well as the committee, with regard to exactly how many people will be attending, how many bars will be required, the size of the room, and any additional items or facilities that will be needed for your program. FCR will administer these details which will allow the committee free time to develop a plan for a program, slide presentation, awards ceremony and simply take the burden of details off your mind. Locating Classmates One of the most difficult and time consuming parts of organizing a reunion is actually finding your classmates. Statistics show that 50% of the students in a given graduating class will be the total number of people who will actually attend. Out of the 50% who attend, about 3/4 of them are actually classmates while the other 1/4 are guests and spouses. About 40% of the classmates are easily found and the other 60% are found through continuous research. Therefore, it is extremely necessary to find as many of the class members as possible to insure a successful reunion. We communicate with the committee to obtain the initial list. Then, through several resources, we are able to expand on the list and find people whose addresses are not readily available. All of the classmates who are found will receive the invitation. We print the invitations and send them out several months prior to the event. We pay for the postage, printing and supplies. Research is work that is very tedious, detailed and time consuming, and it can take the fun out of your reunion. Let us do the work for you. |
